Work Space

I love working at home. I teach my kids here. My husband and I also sometimes give lessons at home to those who want to learn English. We hope to make a decent, comfortable room for our children and students to study.

I also do most of my writing, reading and studying here. So I am wishing for a space for myself during the quiet hours of the day where I can recollect my thoughts, write them down and reflect on them. I am looking forward to a nice desk with a comfy chair, and a pretty lamp too. I want lots of of natural light and spaces for my books. A blackboard would be a nice touch as well.

Here are some ideas that may work.

At the moment, this is my made up haven for myself. It's works well for me for now.

That's right. It's a window ledge. It has lots of natural light and it works perfectly for me now. I just draw the curtains to hide my stuff from very curious and restless tiny hands when I am not working.

You can create a space for yourself anywhere where you can be comfortable. Some suggestions may be converting a closet into a work space, or an unused vanity table and moving it into a corner, adding just some personal touches like hanged photos or a bowl of freshly picked flowers.
